Burning & Fire Safety

If you choose to burn herbs or resins for ceremonial or other purposes, you do so at your own risk.

Always:

  • Burn materials in a well-ventilated area

  • Use a fire-safe container (such as a cast iron vessel) on a stable, heat-resistant surface

  • Keep materials away from flammable objects, drafts, children, and pets

  • Never leave burning materials unattended

To extinguish charcoal or burning materials:

  • Cover to remove oxygen and allow to cool completely, or

  • Carefully extinguish with water and ensure all embers are fully out

Allow all materials to cool completely before disposal.
