🌱Spring Messenger: The Dragonfly

Made by a Real Witch™

The Dragonfly - Already In Place

You chose the delicate structure — something small, often overlooked, but never without meaning.

There are moments in early spring that do not look like progress.

The air softens.
The light shifts.
And yet, not everything begins to move at once.

Some things hold their place a little longer.

Just above the water, the dragonfly settles.

Not in motion —
but already still.

Perched lightly, it balances with a kind of precision that does not ask to be noticed.

Wings open.
Body steady.
Nothing searching for what comes next.

The surface below carries movement —
small ripples, shifting reflections, the sense that something is always changing.

But the dragonfly does not follow it.

It remains.

There is a point where what you have been building
no longer needs adjusting.

Where nothing more needs to be added
before you can trust where you are.

You don’t have to rush what is already in place.

Spring is not only movement.

It is also knowing when to hold your position —
when to let something settle
without trying to push it forward.

Not everything that is still is waiting.

Some things are steady
because they are already ready.

Affirmation

I trust what is already in place. I allow it to hold without rushing forward.

Closing Reflection

The dragonfly does not measure itself against what moves around it.

It does not hurry to prove it belongs to the season.

When it lifts, it will be exact.
When it moves, it will be certain.

Until then, it remains.

And nothing about that moment is behind.

It is simply… where it needs to be.
