Summer Messenger: Swallow

The Swallow: On Changing Course
You chose Bird & Sky — where movement becomes part of the message.
In summer, the sky rarely stays still.
Warm air rises from the fields.
Clouds build and drift.
The wind changes direction without warning.
And high above it all, the swallow moves through it effortlessly.
It does not travel in a straight line.
It turns.
Banks.
Circles.
Changes direction in an instant.
One moment it is heading east.
The next it has shifted course entirely.
Yet somehow, it never appears lost.
The swallow does not resist the air around it.
It works with it.
Adjusting when it needs to.
Trusting what it has learned.
Allowing movement to become part of the journey.
You do not need to move in a straight line to move forward.
There are seasons when life unfolds exactly as planned.
And there are seasons when the path twists unexpectedly.
Plans change.
Priorities shift.
New information arrives.
Something that once felt important no longer does.
Something overlooked begins to matter more.
It can be tempting to see these moments as detours.
As evidence that progress has somehow been interrupted.
The swallow sees things differently.
Changing course is not the same as losing direction.
Sometimes it is how direction is found.
Summer carries this lesson quietly.
Not every adjustment is a setback.
Not every turn means you've wandered from the path.
Some turns are simply part of learning how to navigate the sky you are in.
Affirmation
I allow myself to adjust my course without questioning my direction.
Closing Reflection
The swallow does not measure its journey by how straight the flight has been.
It responds to the wind.
It shifts when conditions change.
It follows what is needed in the moment.
And still, it arrives.
The sky does not demand perfect lines.
Nature rarely does.
Perhaps progress is not always found in holding the course no matter what.
Perhaps sometimes it is found in knowing when to turn.
And trusting that you can continue forward from there.
