The Booher Murders - Part 2

*Warning disturbing content. This is a continuation of The Booher Murders Part 1 - published on June 18, 2023. All three of these videos were filmed in and around Mannville, Alberta, Canada in July 2024. We had permission to be in the buildings and on the land. This footage is unedited. This is exactly what unfolded in real time. Videos are owned by Willowbee Productions.

On the evening of July 9, 1928, Fred Booher and his mother, Eunice, were gunned down in their rural home - located on a farm on the outskirts of Mannville, Alberta, Canada - with a high powered rifle. Two farmhands who worked for the Boohers - Bill and Gabe - were also found murdered in different buildings on the land. The youngest Booher son - 21 year-old Vernon Booher - was arrested, tried, convicted, and sentenced to death by hanging. It is widely speculated that Vernon did not commit the crimes, that key evidence was planted, the case mishandled, and that the true killer(s) walked free. Feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts or opinions.

Willowbee Productions is working with additional footage for a documentary - release date TBD.

July 6, 2024: This Paranormal Live-streaming event was filmed on location in the seniors center (once the original fire hall and jail) in Mannville, Alberta, Canada. Vernon Booher - age 21 - was held in the jail cell in July 1928 following the murders of his mother, Eunice, his brother, Fred, and their two farmhands - Bill and Gabe. Vernon was eventually tried, found guilty, and executed by hanging for those crimes. I personally do not believe that Vernon Booher was guilty. Our paranormal investigation was aimed at giving the dead a chance to speak and set the record straight.

July 9 2024: On the 96th anniversary of the infamous Booher murders, Made by a Real Witch™ in partnership with Willowbee Productions offered an impromptu Facebook Live from the site where the original Booher murder buildings now stand. Those buildings were moved from the Booher farm to a neighboring acreage after the murders occurred in 1928. The Booher house was turned into a garage. The bunkhouse and shed are used for storage. The Booher's lean-to kitchen - located in a nearby field - is currently being used as a calf shed. Bullet holes can still be seen and items found in the attic of the old Booher house - which had sat untouched for close to a century - were an unexpected surprise!

On the evening of July 10, 2024, Made by a Real Witch™ in partnership with Willowbee Productions did some paranormal investigating in the old Orange Hall in Mannville, Alberta, Canada. This building ties to the Booher Murders - a Canadian True Crime Story - that I first became entangled with in the spring of 2023. The Orange Hall was where the preliminary hearings were held - prior to the murder trial (held in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta). The accused, twenty-one-year-old Vernon Booher, represented himself. He was eventually convicted and executed for the murders of four people on his families farm - including his mother and his older brother. The Orange Hall was moved from its original location (downtown Mannville) to a nearby acreage in 1983. It is privately owned. We had permission from the owner to be in the building and on the land.

Special thanks to Willowbee Productions, the citizens of Mannville, land/building owners, the Mannville Centennial Public Library, and Mike Myhovich for your cooperation and assistance.
